FIRST is a acronym we use to explain 5 of the values that InterVarsity at the University of Tampa find to be paramount to following Jesus.
The following are documents for each value that allows a leader to help a member of InterVarsity navigate closer to Jesus.

Follow God's Leading: Lordship
We want to follow Jesus in all of life, and be be yoked to Jesus, and only Jesus. We want to allow Him to lead us in every aspect of life and to use all of our lives for the kingdom (our majors, free time, resources, and abilities).

Invite others into Life: Evangelism
We want to live invitational and intentional lives, regularly inviting others to walk with us as we follow Jesus. We want to intentionally build relationships with ALL of God’s people. We want to invite both non-Christians and Christians to move closer to Jesus.

Risk for the Kingdom: Faith
We want to regularly step out in faith. Central to following Jesus is stepping out of our comfort zones and putting ourselves in situations where you have to trust God. We want to depend on God daily.

Sit at the feet of Jesus: Inner-Life/Devotion
We believe its important to spend time with Jesus daily, allowing Him to teach us through the study of scripture, prayer, and other spiritual disciplines. We want to regularly spend time reading through the stories of Jesus in the Gospels.

Together: Community
We want to spend time with Jesus daily, allowing Him to teach us through the study of scripture, prayer, and other spiritual disciplines. Regularly spending time reading through the stories of Jesus in the Gospels is paramount to growing in our understanding of God, and growing deeper in our personal relationships with Him.
